Torstein Horgmo

Torstein Horgmo is Park City’s own European import. This young Norwegian started riding for Park City Mountain Resort in 2008, and in 2009 he stepped it up a notch in Standard Film’s newly released film, “Black Winter.” You can watch his part open with him riding Park City Mountain Resort’s famous park run, “King’s Crown.”  
Torstein’s competitive nature, along with his technical skills and ability, has made him a force to be reckoned with in the competition circuit. He won a gold medal in Snowboard Big Air at the 2008 Winter X Games XII in Aspen, Colorado; two of the three slopestyle  events at the 2009 Winter Dew Tour; and again showed his competitive spirit and amazing jump skills by becoming the 2009 silver medalist in the X-Games Big Air.
Look for Torstein to come up with some impressive contest results again this season and keep an eye out for him practicing in Park City’s Superpipe or any one of the four terrain parks.
